The role of the governors is to provide strategic direction and policies for the school. The Head Teacher, supported by the school’s Senior Leadership Team, is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, with the governing body acting as a “critical friend”.
The governing body meets once a term, with various committees meeting as often as necessary. Minutes of the meetings of the full governing body are available on request from the school office.
The Chair of Governors is Mr Paul Thompson, who is well known in St. Anthony’s parish.
Governors receive no remuneration for their work, but most find it personally fulfilling.
If you have any questions or would like to raise an issue, please speak to one of the governors, write to them via the School office or use the Contact facility on this website.
We are proud to serve the school and are committed to providing the best environment for the children to learn, have fun and feel safe.
